(2-CD set) After the extraordinary success of "Nature Morte," Simon Nabatov comes up with a double CD based on a novel by the great Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov, "Master And Margarita." Nabatov's quintet is made up of stellar members of the New York Downtown scene, including violinist Mark Feldman, trumpeter Herb Robertson, bassist Mark Hellas & drummer Tom Rainey. The book provided Simon with moods, feelings & emotions ranging from swing to cool jazz textures bridged by improvisation.
