The Nature of the Beast is the ninth studio album by Canadian rock band April Wine, released on January 12, 1981. The album was the band's commercial peak, achieving Platinum certification in the US and peaking at #24 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album also yielded the band's most commercially successful single. "Just Between You and Me" peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, #11 on Billboard's Top Tracks chart, and #22 on the Canadian RPM charts.
