Description
This rare and classic 1975 album from the New York band Nosy Parker is a collection of original songs and ballads written by founding members Joe Celano and Tom Viola. This music is heavily influenced by British folk-rock and progressive styles, combining acoustic 6 and 12 string guitars with the dramatic effects of synthesized guitar, sustained distortion and background keyboards. The songs are stories, and the lyrics are the main focus of the album. The February 2002 issue of MOJO magazine exclaimed that Nosy Parker's album "effortlessly meshes the genre (psychedelic) with folk".
