David Olney is a well known Nashville singer songwriter, featured here in a comfortable club setting. With the exception of Townes Van Zandt's wonderful 'Rex's Blues,' the songs offered here are all Olney originals, and their range is remarkable. David Olney's songs are colorful and intense, sometimes delicate ballads, sometimes closer to blues and rock, with characters often reminiscent of those of Tennessee Williams.
