Description
2011 sophomore album from Othon Mataragas, the genre-bending and eccentric songwriter and pianist.. Impermanence is an important landmark in Othon's artistic evolution. Inspired by a series of Tibetan Tantric meditations, it explores 'how our small world and everything that surrounds it may eventually be destroyed but, also, how Love can play a transformative role by giving birth to a young and naughty Phoenix from the ashes of our old-world emotions'. Stylistically, Impermanence is virtually indefinable - with '50s pop, death baroque, post-minimalist and sleazy folk references, Othon has given his album the genre of 'PAN musik'; 'a new off-limits musical genre that includes all genres! An all-embracing and holistic style of music neither exclusively experimental nor pop, neither strictly progressive nor banal'. SFE.
