This year's CD has a total of 24 tracks - 15 Pre-War classics from Blues masters Lead Belly, Henry Thomas, Blind Blake, Memphis Minnie, Ma Rainey, Furry Lewis and others... PLUS 9 live songs by Lead Belly from 1940's radio broadcasts. These songs are newly restored using the American Epic sound team's amazing restoration techniques. Developed at great expense for the soundtrack of the PBS series, there is less surface noise and more dynamic range than in any previous release of these tracks.
