Description
Rod Picott's 2001 debut album, Tiger Tom Dixon's Blues, was hailed by Robert Oermann at Music Row Magazine as, 'the birth of a major, major artist.' Now nipping at it's heels just a year and a half later comes Rod's sophomore effort, Stray Dogs. Stray Dogs was produced by David Henry (Cowboy Junkies, Josh Rouse) and features Craig Krampf on drums, Paul Slivka on bass, and guest appearances by Slaid Cleaves and Alison Krauss. Despite the heady company, it's Picott's smoky delivery and confident songwriting that stands out here on Stray Dogs. A worthy successor to his remarkable debut.
