Pure Jerry: Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium showcases a quintessential Jerry Garcia/John Kahn acoustic duo performance from February 28, 1986. Living up to the series name, the duos performance is exactly that pure. With only Jerrys vocal and guitar and Kahns bass, the two deliver an unadulterated and intimate performance within the walls of the 2, 000-seat auditorium. The two-set performance features a quintessential setlist including storied Garcia/Hunter compositions like Friend of the Devil, Run for the Roses, Ripple, Bird Song and Dire Wolf plus other favorites like Deep Elem Blues, Jack-a-Roe, and Bob Dylans When I Paint My Masterpiece. Originally released in 2009 as a single CD, the 2xLP live set is pressed on gold vinyl in a limited edition of 7, 500 for Record Store Days 2023 Black Friday and features intricate new artwork created by Gabe Schneider (Sight Study).
