Limited double vinyl LP pressing. Herzeleidáis the debut album by GermanáNeue Deutsche H?rteábandáRammstein. It was released on 29 September 1995. The album's original cover depicted the band members' upper bodies without clothing. This caused critics to accuse the band of trying to sell themselves as "poster boysáfor theámaster race". The album is a culmination of the relationship troubles of all but one of the six band members, hence the title Herzeleid (heartbreak). Rammstein formed in 1994 ináBerlin. Throughout it's existence, Rammstein's six-man lineup has remained unchanged-lead guitaristáRichard Z. Kruspe, bassistáOliver "Ollie" Riedel, drummeráChristoph "Doom" Schneider, lead vocalistáTill Lindemann, rhythm guitaristáPaul H. Landers, and keyboardistáChristian "Flake" Lorenz. The band helped to found a subgenre within Germanáhard rockáandámetaláthat became known asáNeue Deutsche H?rte. The majority of their songs are ináGerman, but they have also performed songs entirely or partially in other languages includingáEnglish,áSpanish,áFrench, andáRussian.
