Description
Digitally re-mastered reissue of the '50s singing sensation's 1957 album. Whilst Johnnie Ray enjoyed considerable success with the coming of Rock 'N' Roll, he never lost his Jazz and Blues influence. It played a major part in the selection of material, with Johnnie invariable offering an almost R&B tinge to his recordings. This enabled him to become one of the real heart-throbs of the 1950s and led to a succession of major hits on both sides of the Atlantic. Indeed, even after his popularity had waned in his homeland he was immensely popular in the UK, breaking the attendance record at the London Palladium previously held by Frankie Laine. 12 tracks. Hallmark. 2009.
