Description

Real Gone Jive' (Atomicat ACCD018) continues our journey through hillbilly music culture with an exploration of the tunes which laid the groundwork for the transformation in the music industry, country boogie through to the changing direction of the hillbilly genre. The aim of these albums is to; entertain, introduce people to the various styles of Hillbilly, Western Swing Country Honky Tonk music. The albums in this series will focus on tunes with a dance tempo, include some snappy foot tapping ditties and include one or two instrumentals to vary the sound. These are albums compiled by rocking people, for rocking people and one man's jive is another man's bop, and the music is here to be played not strictly categorised 'Real Gone Jive' is predominately western swing and country boogie, with a little old time Appalachian music through to the changing style of country music. The featured honky-tonk stompers come from; Hank Penny, Bill Haley, Tex Williams, we hear a story of breaking the law from Billy Hughes and Chuck Bowers sings about life on the country farm, Grayson and Whitter are the earliest track from 1928. The country cuties who grace 'Real Gone Jive' are; Ella Mae Morse, the Nettle Sisters, Anita Carter, and Wanda Jackson. This 'Atomicat' album is compiled by well-known Dee Jay and face on the music scene Mark Armstrong, who has been Dee Jaying since his early teen years. Our albums have; stunning design, sleeve notes, 28 songs, mastered for the best possible sound available. The disc is housed in an attractively constructed cardboard sleeve, specially designed to avoid the use of plastic and be environmentally friendly. The album is great to play at home and perfect for Dee Jays who will find good dance-floor filling songs.
