This rare record from James Rivers showcases funky sax from the 70s New Orleans Jazz scene at it's finest. Recorded in collaboration with Senator Jones, the album blends the trademark cracking New Orleans groove with the warmer modes of big name funky jazz of the time. The addition of keyboards allows Rivers to hit a groove on this album that is reminiscent of Stanley Turrentine on CTI at times, but with a unique sound of it's own that can be heard on amazingly soulful, undeniably groovy flute tracks including 'Balls Of Funk', 'Keep It Comin', and 'Funky Too".
