Description

SAFE AND SOUND formed in 2012 in Seattle, WA as a group of young straight edge kids that wanted to play youth crew/early 2000s in?uenced hardcore. After having some member changes and an addition of a second guitar the band played their frst fest in 2013 which was in their hometown, Rainfest. Sadly this fest came to an end last year in the year of 2016. From then 'til now a lot has happened with SAFE AND SOUND in terms of the music they play and the goals they have. Throughout late 2013 and early 2014 the band spent some time touring Western Canada and the West Coast. In 2014 they released our frst 7" record in 2014 entitled The Tides. With the release of that record came the departure of 3 of band members. Gaining 3 new members in late 2014 they began writing and planning for a new era of SAFE AND SOUND. In 2015 they began writing Embers Still Remain, their second 7", which would come out later in early 2016. While writing they kept the touring up with more Western Canada and West Coast visits and eventually made it over to Texas as well. Right when 2016 hit they posted a music video for our song "Dream" that would be on the record coming out the following month. The song and video has to do with animal rights and veganism and since then they have have made that a big part of what SAFE AND SOUND is about. In February they released Embers Still Remain, which was followed by a full U.S. tour in March. Later in the year they toured Canada and California more, also doing another tour to Texas also to play "Hope For Shelter" fest in San Antonio. By the end of 2016 a second pressing of Embers Still Remain was released and the band began writing new material. Fresh off their frst European tour, Ashes Lie And Wait is the perfect release to kick off additional touring in the winter months of 2017 in to 2018.
