Description

This is the Sidewinders first album originally released in 1988 on San Jacinto Records in Tucson and Demon records in the U.K. This was originally featured on the front cover of CMJ Music Journal which eventually landed them a record deal with then up and coming Mammoth records and then RCA. The band was eventually sued after releasing WITCHDOCTOR and AUNTIE RAMOS' POOL HALL and changed their name to SAND RUBIES. They released a self titled album Sand Rubies in 1993 on Polygram/Atlas. The band broke up late 1993 and reformed in 1997 mostly playing in Arizona and Texas and have toured twice in Europe. The band has release new albums MAS CUACHA 2007, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 1998 and RELEASE THE HOUNDS 1999, the last on Blue Rose Records. The band is still playing out live, led bt David Slutes and Rich Hopkins. Also in the band is Bruce Halper and ken Andree.
