One of the first major studio films to capitalize on the '70s skateboarding craze tells the story of a luckless Hollywood agent (Allen Garfield) who's in major debt to a bookie. He organizes a talented but ragtag team of skaters-led by heartthrob Leif Garrett-to earn him money, but just before the big contest a local thug tries to coerce Garfield to throw the competition.
