Description
CD reissue. The Streetband were formed in the London Harrow/Watford area and had been on the circuit for a while as a Cockney Rock band when they decided they needed a front man/singer and asked Blues and Soul performer Paul Young. After Paul joined the band they secured a record deal with Logo, and Chaz Jankel (from Ian Dury and the Blockheads) was sent to watch the band perform, with a view to producing their first album. "You're All I Need" opens that first album 'London' (1978). With their single "Toast" they received their first heavy airplay from Kenny Everett on Capital Radio and shortly after "Toast" was played on the other side of the ocean as well. "Loud Music" ends the album with first, pounding notes and guitar riffs and eventually the song explodes with a literal explosion to end the record.
