Surviving in Samoa drives the most unexpected castaway to kill a rat to provide food for her tribe but not without apologizing to her rodent victim. In a nod to Samoan culture, each tribe must elect a chief their sole decision-maker but based only on first impressions. Trying to live up to the mantle of leader, one chief pushes to his breaking point, collapsing in the middle of a challenge. Later, a group of underdogs work to change their fate, only to have their efforts threatened when a new, 11th hour underdog emerges.
