Talented pianist Sussman presents seven original compositions, which are varied, appealing & often isomeric. His quintet works well together, with an emphasis on the ensemble rather than the solos. The unit consists of trumpet/flugelhorn player Tom Harrell, tenor saxophonists Jerry Bergonzi & Larry Schneider, bassist Mike Richmond & drummer Jeff Williams.
