H was released in May 1982 as Hajime Tachibana's solo debut album, one of the first releases on the YEN label, which was established within Alpha Records by Haruomi Hosono and Yukihiro Takahashi.

Hm (H Minor) was his second solo album, released in April 1983 on the YEN label. Produced by Yukihiro Takahashi. B2 is a cover of Ryuichi Sakamoto's song, and B5 is a cover of Isao Tomita's song.
