This Beautiful Mess hails from Vlissingen, Netherlands, they have been making music in the Netherlands for several years, and pretty much all the band members are part of other great bands and most are multi-instrumentalists. They have put out three albums previously: Falling on Deaf Ears (2001 Deep Elm), Temper the Wind to the Shorn Lamb (2003 Sally Forth) and Away with the Swine - 7 tracks EP (2006 Sally Forth). This Japanese edition of Away with the Swine contains new artwork and four new songs. Imagine the melodious of Coldplay, Explosions in the Sky, L'altra or an early Radiohead meeting singer/songwriters like Bright Eyes or Mojave 3.
