Description
During the stagnation that Progressive rock suffered when the fashion effect of neo Progressive was starting to fade in the late Eighties, there were only few groups to dare bet on innovation. The few nostalgic of the golden Seventies had taken up the habit of reproducing more or less successfully the clich?s first created by GENESIS and CAMEL. Refusing this mimicry, Tiemko developed it's own vision of the style, globally dark and the furthest away possible from general conformism. Looking at it objectively now, this French line-up can be seen as a pioneer for all the innovative bands that blossomed during the Nineties. It's music shows a distinctive personality, even if we could mention as some influences, KING CRIMSON, classical music and jazz-rock. Led by a cataclysmic guitar and worrisome keyboards, the instrumental digressions even take the listener to the borders of new musics. Finally, we can add that this band also shows an iconoclast spirit that the great Frank ZAPPA would cert.
