The music of Marta Topferova, the Czech-born, New York-based singer and songwriter, fuses a range of Latin American musical styles and rhythms that she has studied and mastered since her childhood in Prague. Described as a "leading light of the nueva cancion movement," Topferova's sound blends folk and jazz that Topferova conveys through her silky hypnotic vocals and her crisp guitar and cuatro playing.
