Description
Humanity is locked in, ordered into isolation. Mass burials, masks, gloves, disinfectants, social distancing, daily statistics of infections, hospitalization and the deceased inundate the media... Trailerhead returns with their first album in seven years - 'Catharsis' - finalized at the height of the Covid-19 catastrophe. This global pandemic has taken it's toll and manifested in many different forms still affecting society today. Producer Yoav Goren, isolated in his California studio and unable to collaborate and record with his usual orchestral ensembles, reached out to several award-winning trailer music composers and posed a challenge: compose tracks that embody your emotional state and outlook during this unprecedented era of chaos and fear in the modern age. And so cinematic composers such as Aleksandar Dimitrijevic (Norway), Dean Valentine (Ireland), John Samuel Hanson (Hawai'i), Eric Tannery (Texas) and Goren himself, who have flourished in the trailer music industry with compositions that were created for the biggest blockbuster films of all time (Harry Potter, Avengers, Star Wars), produced some very emotional and dramatic works as personal reactions and depictions of this monumental and historic experience. Trailerhead pioneered the commercial release of the Epic Trailer Music genre with the highly successful self-titled debut 'Trailerhead' (2008), which has sold over 100,000 albums and equivalents. The four previous Trailerhead albums have all charted on the Apple iTunes charts upon release, and have generated well over 2 billion streams worldwide. Trailerhead have also brought their brand of music to live audiences with their Trailer Music Live concert series
