Description
Trance - Rockers - Re-release of the rare album from 1991 with the cover version of "When A Man Loves A Woman" featuring Percy Sledge. The album is re-mastered with two bonus songs, as a lavish digipak including a 20-page booklet. With the three Rockport albums, which sold well over 250,000 LPs and CDs in the early 80s, Trance stormed to third place in German hard rock heaven in a flash after Scorpions and Accept. After quarrels and a break they had to change their name to Trancemission in the meantime. Back under their old name, the album "Rockers" was recorded in months of sessions at Frank Farian Studio under the direction of producer Ian Remmer. Illustrious guest musicians like Lisa Shaw (Rick Astley Band), Paul Powell (Tina Turner Band) and Thomas Blug (sound guru of Huges and Kettner) participated. As a cover version there is the classic "When A Man Loves A Woman" recorded as a heavy ballad. A month later Percy Sledge was in the same studio for recordings and was fascinated by the version. They met and a version was recorded with Percy and Lothar, the trance singer at the time, singing a duet. The album was released 14 days before it was cancelled. Now the album is officially available again for the first time after long years! - Trance was among the top list of German hard rock/heavy metal bands in the early eighties.
