Description
In this companion to his memoir, world-renowned flautist/composer Guo Yue captures the vivid, sensual world of his Beijing boyhood during the tumultuous days of Maos Cultural Revolution. The breathy curvaceous voices of his flutes swoop with poignant yearning and entwine with mandolin, percussion, and accordion. Recorded in Beijing, Bath and Budapest, it was produced by Peter Gabriel collaborator Richard Evans.
