Yyrkoon Unhealthy Opera CD

Yyrkoon exists since 1995. Having realized 2 full albums on different labels, the real carrier of the band begins in 2003 with their third album titled "occult medicine". a new line-up; including dirk verbeuren (soilwork/scarve) as a session drummer for this recording and also some members of aborted (bel) and taliandorogd (fra). The new identity in their songs is clear, a catchy and powerful mixture of thrash/death metal with a lot of melodic guitar solos. Yyrkoon. "occult medicine" previous album receive a lot of good reviews in international magazines, webzines... "unhealthy opera" the fourth album to come on osmose productions is in the same vein as the previous one and was produced again at hansen studios in Denmark. Really profesionnal and corresponds exactly to the color excpected by band. "unhealthy opera" is an album conceived through a lovecraftian's cthulhu mythos and treats more particularly about the fantastic/horror world that reign into the sea's abyss and wild shores... The great cthulhu and the old ones... The music is aggressive with catchy and fast parts, atmospheric tints are given by the use of samples and instrumental songs and the melody is here through the heavy band's solos. Andy larocque (king diamond) gave is personnal touch' with a solo on one song (horror from the sea) as a guest. Osmose. 2006.
